I think sometimes Littles do little things even when they're trying to be big. A lot of times without even meaning to lol

I know from my own experience, it can be a comfort thing, and I'd venture the guess that this is what's going on here. Star is about to have a hard talk, but she feels safer in Kim's lap.

I think this is just one of those talks that might help to be in little mode a little. She's gonna have to be a bit vulnerable and it'll be easier for her to get comfort with this. Because I'm pretty sure we're about to have a talk about "how do I do boundaries" and that's very difficult.

So she wants to stay in big mode as much as possible. But there are exceptions as needed.

I feel theres a diff btwn sittin on a lap for comfort while in big mode and sittin on a lap in little mode. Tho it is true that sittin on that lap for comfort while in big mode can result in leavin big mode, but thats just the shenanigans of Bigs

I disagree with some of the comments. I don't think her sitting on Kim's lap is conflicting with her wanting to stay in big mode. She wants to stay in big mode as much as possible. That doesn't have to be 100%.

This is her letting herself slide just a little. Which is fair because she's gonna have to be vulnerable. And Star ... isn't the best with that. She's grown a lot, but she still struggles with opening up. And I'm thinking we're about to have a talk about boundaries and what to do when someone you care about is being too much. That's a rough conversation in general, but we've seen Star's life. She wasn't really allowed boundaries as a kid. No wonder she wants to sit on Kim's lap when offered for this.

Sometimes that worst thing that can happen to someone is never making a mistake. And Auntie Tessa seems like just the kind of person who's never had a kinky situation fall completely apart on her. Scrapping by the skin of her teeth to never have *really* violated consent or broken a boundary. The problem is that after too long of trusting your gut and getting by you can really get the impression that you'll NEVER make a mistake.

Hopefully there will be a real important talk that happens, at least one sorry from Tessa, and so so so so so many hugs once everyone is feeling a bit better about things ♥
