This is an illustration from early 2023, featuring Vitani and Tiifu as cubs with the former being shocked that the plump Pride Lander cub had made it into the Outlands with a gift without getting caught. Vitani has had a rough childhood, as she was raised by the bloodthirsty Zira to be a weapon of war and how the Outlands are a barren wasteland with very little food.

Vitani, despite being raised to be opposed to the Pride Landers, would end up befriending one: Tiifu. Despite Tiifu’s own concerns about her friendship with an Outlander, she couldn’t help but feel sorry for Vitani and would occasionally sneak food to give to her friend. Vitani and Tiifu unfortunately had to go their separate ways when their secret, forbidden friendship was discovered, only to reunite in adulthood when the conflict between the Outlanders and Pride Landers was resolved and Zira was defeated.
