Because Camembert is a soft-ripened cheese from cow milk. And the fungus needed it for his making is the Penicillium camemberti. He doesn't make green mold on the cheese.

I wonder if the cheese they´re offering her in the first pannel is some kind of local "Casu martzu" and LOL the part where the cammel guy almost puts her in evidence, is like the opposite case when princess Jasmine visits the Agrabah market in the Disney´s movie "Aladdin" >XD
Haha, you can see that Zaphira wasnt much outside the palace. XD Since she takes that classic "Oh you look like a queen" thing that basicly every trader brings to his female customers to sell some stuff a LITTLE to serious. XD

Exactly. It makes one wonder who was actually running the country during that time.
On the other hand, Zaphira could be "queen" simply because she had the prophesied birthmark. As far as we know she could have been as much of a nobody as Shen, but due to the birthmark was called "queen" and raised in the lap of luxury, trained to perform one sacred job.
And now that she's performed it...she's not needed anymore.... (cue ominous musical sting.)

In a more realistic setting I could see that happening. In the case of this story, given the tone I doubt that it is the case for the empire of Oasis, simply highly religious and at the time of the original prophecy very desperate, ignorant folks that didn't understand the reality of how the world works (magical or not xD)
Regardless that the articles that the bazaar vendors offer Zaphira may be to her liking (top left panel), except for the stinky cheese, I must say that I like the "fish out of water" way she acts in general; she looks very adorable in that way. And lastly, the fact that that camel vendor ( last three panels) acknowledged that she exudes nobility even in incognito means that something interesting is going to happen, although I don't know in what way; I already want to know how this goes on. XD
