I'm going to try again with a smaller central stone/bead, and try to plan it out a bit more carefully (it looks almost nothing like the drawing I did heeeh). Chalk this one up to a learning experience.

Really the only skills required are hand sewing and some sense of design (neither of which I really succeeded at here XD but I have a better idea now if I try it again). When I first saw the jewelry in this gallery I thought it must be some sort of crazy complex ordeal and I immediately set out to find some tutorials. This tutorial was the most helpful one I found and it turns out it's pretty much taking a bunch of stuff and sewing it together. XD So far the hardest part has been finding the soutache in the colours I'd like to work with.
