This creature is a mixture of tadpoles and rabbits. It is a chimera that grows its small cubs in cavities on its back. These little creatures hide in bodies of water by sticking their heads out and then grabbing those who think they are easy prey. The chimera then drowns them and eats them quietly. They are sufficiently omnivorous that they can be retrained to eat a certain diet.

Some owners also deliberately stunt the growth of tadpoles by gently rewinding their legs to produce racers that are suitable for both water and land. If the tadpoles are needed for mountainous terrain, the chimera is allowed to grow legs for jumping.
