Another color piece of one of the "Move to the Music!" girls. I did a B/W sketch of this idea awhile ago but I finally got a chance to do it late last year http://www.furaffinity.net/view/2285215/. This time it is Janet Huxley who goes by the stage name Rhythm. While Melody Atherton is the more sophisticated and glamorous of the band http://www.furaffinity.net/view/5653603/ Janet is by her nature the more of a teeny-bopper at heart. Although she is now in her late 20s she still has a tendency to view the world with a simple almost childlike charm.
One of Janet's favorite hobbies is collecting stuffed animals and dolls. Here we see her with last purchase Farmer Pickle! No I don't know why she called the stuffie that. I was just the phantom cameraman in this dream and none of the other girls bothered to ask. "Farmer Pickle says howdy!" Then she waved one of his arms at Melody. "Howdy howdy howdy!" "He says howdy cause he's an American!"
At this point it looks like Farmer Pickle has been assigned to the pool of plushies that Janet has assigned to bed duty http://www.furaffinity.net/view/1182285/
In "Move to the Music!" Janet naturally fills the role of the bouncy, good girl next door role. Who loves to go shopping, throwing sleep over parties http://www.furaffinity.net/view/961060/ having pillow fights with her friends http://www.furaffinity.net/view/1453398/ doing cosplay http://www.furaffinity.net/view/1259871/ http://www.furaffinity.net/view/1259855/ although the public's response to this catches her off guard sometimes http://www.furaffinity.net/view/1453485/
Her main job in the band besides being the main backup singer is that she has the very important role of choreographing all the dance routines for all the songs. This is has a double importance because not does it provide the visual dance element for the performances it is how the girls create their music in the first place! http://www.furaffinity.net/view/1006446/ http://www.furaffinity.net/view/878363/

Would be a kick.

Oh my goodness. This is the most adorable thing ever - that stuffed raccoon looks so soft, her nightdress is wonderful and the mouse slippers are just beautiful :)
I'm interested in the mention of America, actually - is your world a substitute Earth populated by anthros instead of humans? I ask because in my own writing I try to avoid the mention of things, places, events, or anything else that exist in our real world, but this is a near-impossible task even when you're not writing much about the outside world. Or... a sudden thought - is America as fictional a place as, say, Andur is to us?

Yeah Janet is a cutie. Helps explain why she has so many fans. She is rather fond of the mouse slippers.
To answer your question, yes both Angel and Knight Prime, and it alternate universes A&K-1 and A&K-2 and the Andur dreamscapes are all occurring on Earth. Technically. The regular, vanilla if you wanted to call it that, 21th century world where I and Rosemary come from along with all of the Angel and Knight gang. In fact most of Angel and Knight Prime takes place in the South Bay and in San Jose CA.
This makes things interesting for us Newcomers, people from the current time, who travel back and forth between Andur and here because our safe house which has a portal, gate back to Andur is located about four blocks from Jessica's house in Willow Glen. Since Jessica is paid to investigate paranormal events our house along with Jedel, Breenoa, and Ka-Rilka would quickly become a center of too much attention from her and her clients if they found out. So we keep it quiet.
The equations is complicated more by the fact that Petina, Jackie, and Vipera are technically from another reality/ dreamscape that is the 24th century, where Earth is one of the main worlds of what is called The Solar Confederacy, And Breenoa comes completely different 24th century than Jackie, Petina, and Vipera.
A&K-1 takes place again on Earth where it is undergoing an alien invasion and is now about three years into trying to fend them off. It is not occurring in anyone particular locale and is jumping all over the globe. It has almost all of the cast from the three dreamscape story arcs, I refer to them as season, of Angel and Knight Prime at their current ages. Although their professions or occupations rare radically different. None of the Andur cast is in it.
A&K-2 Technically takes place in what was the San Francisco Bay Area before the entire area was leveled in still unexplained event that is referred to as The Event of 1977. In its place a new island has formed on the rebound peak of ground zero, and on that land mass a new city Metro City has appeared. All of the cast Angel and Knight Prime are present but their ages vary radically. Jessica and Carla are in the fourth grade and working with junior goddess Twitch to help locate the lost celestial battleship Judgment which is feared to have accidentally slipped into the Mortal Plane. I know Petina and Vipera are in it because they were both running for mayor at one point.
Andur is completely separate reality from the A&K universes and is a 14th Century AD Earth where some unusual geologically and environmental conditions have created a much more California climate along the Northeast coast of Africa.
Hope this not too big of a data dump.

It is rather more detail than I was expecting! But I love that - the best artists here are those that can also write to convey the world that they've thought up. I've always felt that I know more about your characters than most other artists - my favourite people to watch are always those who have these ideas, places and events and... real love for their characters, rather than them just being furry people to draw. Thank you :)
Evil thought: Given that products made from bodycasts exist in your world, has anybody tried making a, a-hem, "female marital aid" out of any of your mouse characters?
I'm imagining this:
There's a "controller" in-frame with the cord leading off-frame. The girls are all looking in that direction with jaws dropped.
"Here. Let me demonstrate." A big-um hand enters the frame turns the device on. A SFX "hhrrrrrrmmmmmm" comes from the side of the frame the cord leads off to. The girls have not moved or reacted at all.
"As you can see--"
(in unison towards the other side of the frame) "NO!"
"Don't be hasty! Projected sales are--"
"NO!"

Oh imagine they exist. I can see Petina having too much problem.....so long she got a piece of the action....a big piece of it. if any market would pop up for such an item of questionable taste I see it being one of the Asian markets. With just enough, or maybe not enough, of the serial numbers buffed off so they could avoid too much legal hassle. No its not really the Move to the Music! girls.
Great to see her pop up again. Looking thought the links, I still dont think i've every seen that fan art of her as of yet from http://www.furaffinity.net/view/1453485/
Well for one thing most mouse and rat clothing is made by mice and rats. However that just gives you strong, nimble little fingers and arms to work the materials. In fact clothing for them is very expensive. Mice and rats pay about the same amount for their garments as bigums do. Even more in some cases. This is in spite of the fact that there may only be a few square inches in fabric used in making it. The cost is tied up in production of the items and all the testing that has to done to hold to such rigorous tolerances.
In many case other materials have to be used because they just can not scale down to the require size and have enough material strength not fail immediately. Brass buckles have to be replaced with milled steel ones and cords and lacing often has nylon or even wire in its core to give it the necessary strength. Isabella ran into this problem during the Bad Girls tour when the paper-thin latex body stocking she was suppose to wear for a particular song in concert failed several times during rehearsals and even couple times in concert. http://www.furaffinity.net/view/3199254/ Because it was so thin she could not wear any undergarments with so the potential for wardrobe malfunction was very great.
