Some more pictures from Amtgard! Specifically some more funtimes from Dragons Forge. This was part of a Conquest, kind of like a series of events that adjust the camp in a meta sense, where the Azurian Guard were defending from an invasion of Skirit. Was this potentially drummed up by the Imperium? The up and coming guild who want to take over? Hard to tell. But the Azurian guard did not have much time to worry about that as the rats approached!

I, far right in the top picture, was playing as the Rat King for the game. I had a few special abilities and immunities but mainly I was a spawn point for my team. Each of us had five lives and in the end we were unsuccessful in defeating the guard. Which I suspect was intentional as we were outnumbered and they had many of the more experienced people on their team. But it was still a really fun time! And it was my first time fighting in armor! Im going to guess the chain hauberk was about twenty two-ish pounds. Which was not a lot in the sense of armor but it really changed how it felt to move around. A good learning experience for sure. And unfortunatly for me I may have been immune to the Command and Subdual schools of magic but not death. So some of their spellcasters were able to Finger of Death me twice to knock off some of my lives. But hey they were sixth level wizards so they have powers like that.

Bottom you can see the Azurian Guard as they were trembling and quaking in fear at our coming approach! It was a fun day for sure :>
