I wanted to start off my list of Villain redesigns with Queen Chrysalis, who is arguably my favorite from the whole series!
Since it's important to my AU, I wanted to make sure to include not only the redesign version from the show, but also the version she is currently in my AU.

Headcanons:

- Instead of Thorax taking the throne like the show, Thorax was determined to make Queen Chrysalis metamorphose. So alongside some help from Spike and several other changelings, they were able to help Queen Chrysalis return to her original form, making her able to retake her throne at the head of the Changeling Kingdom.

- Queen Chrysalis only changed to her 'loveless' form because of a terrible tragedy and heartache that was irreparable.

- She's lived for about as long as the Canterlot princesses, but has a far more extensive knowledge of the world. She is even sent some of the future royalty as 'students' to be taught the dangers and information she has gathered from all of her adventures.

- She rules as a solo queen, with Thorax as her assistant and Pharnyx as the head of her guard.

- Changelings are some of the only breed of pony that can rival the natural height of pegasi, oftentimes surpassing them.
