The Lost Doorway Opens

Ryan and Zarla awaken in the living room, Floof and Vix are there keeping a constant eye on them Floof says warmly ''you're both finally awake thank goodness'' they just lay there unable to move much, Ryan says tiredly ''everything hurts'' Zarla says weakly ''I can't move my body'' Floof nods and says ''well that's to be expected it seems after all what you both have done, it's not common for demi-mortals to possess a fusion'' Ryan seems confused and asks ''so that wasn't a normal power or something?'' Floof shakes his head ''no it's more an ability that is very rare in demi-mortals something that the owner of the ability cannot easy master'' Ryan looks up at his father trying to work out what to say, his body still aching all over, Vix walks over holding a heavy blanket saying in a motherly sort of way ''you both look exhausted have a nap and then we'll talk more later alright?'' Zarla doesn't protest too much almost falling asleep right away, Ryan can feel his eyes getting heavy again he has little fight left in him, as he feels himself drifting off to sleep after a few hours of rest Ryan and Zarla are able to move, still unsteady Vix gives them some lunch right away soon their growling stomachs, remind them that they haven't eaten much for a few hours now, they eat happily after their meal Zarla goes for a shower while Ryan waits and wakes up a little more, there is a knock at the door Floof answers it and Sensei comes in holding a white gem and a scroll he says ''Floof I finally figured it out and I found the way to open it'' Vix looks lost Floof then asks ''you think you found the way into...?'' Sensei nods ''yes we need Ryan though for this'' Ryan is sitting there trying to follow what they're saying but he's completely lost, Floof then says ''OK so what does Ryan need to do?'' Sensei then unfurls the scroll and Floof reads the ancient text and says ''oh that is very ancient technology for Valhalla, so the only way through is a raiju is to power a storm gem'' Sensei nods and looks at Ryan saying ''and I believe that's the raiju in question, who needs to reawaken the doorway'' Ryan looks even more lost then before and says '''storm gem? Doorway? What are you two going on about'' Floof places a hand on Ryan's shoulder saying ''you know I've been educating you on the history of immortals and such and I told you about Valhalla, how it was lost in the war of Ragnarok?'' Ryan looks up at Floof saying ''but you said it was a legend or a myth'' Floof shakes his head saying ''I lied about that part, because both Sensei and I fought in that war along with your mother as well, during her younger years she was the one who gave the King, a rather nice scar anyway that king is now dead I made sure of that, along with a few friends of mine'' Floof then looks down at Ryan saying to him ''listen Ryan just because you sealed Lazarus away, doesn't mean other threats won't come about, we need you to open Valhalla again and help revive it, because other threats are out there and others will come, but we promise to train you and Zarla to be ready for what's to come and give you the skills to protect those close to you, you both would become guardians of the mortal realm'' Ryan thinks for a moment then responds ''alright I'll help you'' Sensei then looks at Ryan ''we're gonna be travelling deep into the forest hope you're prepared'' Ryan nods and they go into the forest, soon they find what looks like an ancient archway, Floof clears some moss away on a stone pillar of sorts revealing a very blacked out gem he says to Ryan ''alright Ryan we need you to power this gem, so hit it with all you got'' Ryan readies himself fusing with Thunder and he begins to spark looking at the gem he then hits the gem with all the power he has, the doorway sparks and flickers Ryan and Thunder defuse and then collapses to his knees but the gem darkens again showing it's not fully charged, Floof places his hand on Ryan's shoulder ''you don't have to do this Ryan just remember that we can go home and rest if you want'' Ryan and Thunder fuse again trying to charge the storm gem but again it fails with Ryan and Thunder defusing, Ryan doesn't give up and keeps on trying until he is almost completely exhausted, Zarla goes to Ryan and places a hand on his shoulder she says to Ryan ''I've seen you fight you don't give up easily so why give up now?'' Ryan looks up at Zarla and says to her ''you're right I don't give up easily'' Zarla nods and says ''then give it your all'' Ryan and Thunder fuse this time bolts spark around them more intensely then before, they hit the storm gem with a continuous stream of lightning causing the gem to come fully to life, glowing a bright light blue and soon the portal sparks to life opening completely
