This is an illustration from summer of 2022, featuring Simba and Nala with her baby sister Kula. Kula is obsessed with eating and this has resulted in her being the fattest cub in the pride, and while Simba was not a cruel cub he would occasionally tease her about her weight. Nala tolerated it, knowing that her friend’s words were only meant to be playful. Kula, on the other hand, gets defensive about her size and claims that she just has “cub fat”.
