Here's the last original song until september :(
Alas the school year has ended and me,
shiacoft Andrew, and our drummer Matt must part for the summer.
We'll all have jobs and be going to conventions and all the jazz.
But today, listen to this!
Matt wrote the lyrics, I wrote the chords, Shia did bass and andrew did the synth break in the middle as well as most of the ending vocals :3
I love doing stuff in 7/8 and I tried to sound a little prog-rock. Nasal voice and everything.
Over the summer I'll be doing covers and arrangements and transcriptions, so there'll still be plenty to hear. I'll put most of it in scraps, but hey. It'll be fun.

Very upbeat and fast, one of my favourite combinations! There have been quite a few people who have their birthdays in early May, so the ending was quite fitting too.

oooh! That's a really good quote. I'm totally using that.
I had noticed that the chords were similar, and if you changed the rhythm to 4/4 it was even MORE similar, so I figured it would be a neat thing to throw in there.
The breakdown is thanks to our resident pianist, Andrew. I wrote it out and it only took a few minutes to add in. Wanted to mix things up.
