Not really. Her plans never included the eye, and she put her entire army back under her control immediately. Cellarius was a casualty, but she really never NEEDED him. This really doesn't even count as a speed bump. The only thing they accomplished was ticking her off, and making the entire ocean their foe. A running theme is that these three are NOT heroes, they're idiots who make a living out of ticking off gods and barely fleeing with their lives.

They don't exactly go out of their way to help others and do the right thing, they're just trying to survive and deal whatever problems come their way, and trouble just has a way of finding them (thinking about it I actually really like this. Not every protagonist has to be a hero or even necessarily a good person!)

Though this is a wild guess, I think this HIM made the contracts that Darya uses. If so, it’d explain why Darya didn’t drown the “traitors”, because she can't transform Brand and Saida herself. It also explains why Darya doesn’t want to risk “more” contracts with HIM. After all, if you’re the one who writes up the contract, aren’t you usually the one with the power?
Well, Darya wasn't eliminated but she was foiled for now. Nice for once to see the BBEG so powerful our protagonists couldn't really scratch her. Foil her silly plan and run for it, but that's about it. Remember, they didn't truly defeat Ayal - he defeated himself. At full power they'd have been running the same as with Darya.
Look at the bright side, Dime Store Ursula. Least you still have your treasure and your powers. Back to the drawing board!
