spazzyhyena and a response to his recent slew of journals.
Please don't cut yourself. It isn't healthy and it's a good way to get sick.
To be quite frank you're not a very articulate artist. you can draw alright but your range of what you can draw isn't there. you draw anthros looking all the way to the right or left with a few frontal shots. you have a decent grasp on anatomy and some grasp on proportion. Your line-work is very messy and so is your coloring. You don't have much shading going on.
The bright side is that your style is very consistent. You aren't afraid to use color like many artists online are. That and your pencil work is alright from what I've seen from your scraps. You INK! which many artists dislike or are scared of!
You can definitely draw better. You're already somewhat proficient, you just need some fine tuning. ask someone for help, someone you respect as an artist. If you can't find anyone to help, I'm here too.
And I'm sorry if this is offensive. I'm not trying to insult you, I'm stating my observations on your skill as an artist as of now.

That's a relief. Many would take my comments as personal attacks! I can't tell you how many comments I abort halfway through writing because of this.
Humans are sort of programmed to be morons to either themselves or others, just how we are. Chin up and don't take this place so seriously.
Yeah I've found that nobody really tries all that hard to study another persons style to tell them what could be improved. That's probably why the furry fandom is writhe with rubbish artists! Seriously ask an artist you KNOW is better than you to mentor you. I've only asked for permission to study someone's work but I'm sure plenty of artists would be more than willing to mentor you if you're determined to draw better.
