Being transferred to the fire base atop of hill 168 has been a learning experience to say the least towards getting my qualification as a combat medic. There's so much more to remember on top of what I already know.

I've been assigned to same unit as Dillon for the duration. His C.O. a huge wolf named Captain Fenris took one look at me, smiled and winked telling SSgt Webster to keep an eye on me.

Later that evening the base alarms start blaring and everyone starts yelling and running to different parts of the base. I grab my packs and follow Dillon. As we're running I see all these green glows streaking in the air. 'They look just like the fireflies back home at my folks farm. I remember running around the yards at night as a little girl trying to catch them as my parents watched from the porch...'

Something whizzes past my ear startling me as I hear someone nearby yell. "GET DOWN!"
