Maybe. But can you really commit nothing but murder for a crime that happened 10 years ago? I mean... at least hold him into custody or something. I don't know, it just seemed too... easy. And there's a sinking feeling that the US just signed a you'll-get-bombed-next pact. Anyway, yeah. It was funny... xD
Well, I'd like to avoid a very deep discussion of the "what if's" and "could have's", but I think ten years on the run was long enough for this guy to get away with it. Karma is a bitch and she WILL sneek up on ya and blow you away when you least expect it! And regardless of the time that's gone by, 9-11 saw the deaths of "thousands" of American lives in an instant. It's been long enough and payment has been long over due.
Yeah. Of course, karma always will pay off. And I do believe that an initiative being taken on bin Laden's detection was a right choice for what he did, but I feel that straight up murder was wrong. Regardless of what he did. Anyhow, 9/11 was tragic. It was absolutely unbearable to experience, to even comprehend that it really happened. But now, everybody should move on - there's nothing left of that day now, and now we should just move on with our lives and leave the lives lost in our hearts instead of letting that solemn mourning turn into sour revenge.
It was a good move in time of need when are country needs a morale boost we haven't had a lot if good news as of late and you shouldn't celabrate killing but celebration over the ending of a man who has no ability to feel the same respect for life like you is a triumph for good though he was killed he was a bad man and the right thing was done regardless of who did it bad men of that caliber shouldn't be allowed to continue for the good of all people and there safty.
It is undeniable that he was a bad man. But my pacifism lets me believe that there was a much better way around this. A civil country should do things right, not stoop low as to do what they would have done with one of our leaders. Guess there isn't much to say on the matter now, seeing as it's already happened.
Pacifism is a great idea, but in todays world it would be very hard to get "everybody" on board such an idea. Personally I would love it if there was no killing, rapeing, ect... But the sad facts are that there is and sometimes you have to stand up to the killers and let them know you won't take it anymore. Sometimes this keeps the killers at bay as they find out that their "prey" isn't going to lay down anymore.
I can't think of any at the moment, I'm afraid. But alot of changes occure due to violence; the end of WWII was caused by two A bombs. Millions of lives lost in a matter of seconds. Looking back now, it's great that the war ended, but surely there could have been a better way of going about it.
No matter what happens there will always be good decisions and bad decisions made by people with power. And it isn't untill the dust settles that the "what if's" get asked.

You have a point. And come to think of it, Japan has grown greatly since the end of the war. I mean, you go to Japan and it's like walking into the future there, ya know? They're working on robots that can teach at elementery level!
I guess you could say that it was a tactic of "tough love"? But anyway, I'm getting way too deep for my own good. lol I just posted this image for a laugh!

Reaching out to save foreign, unknown, developing countries from certain doom is enough to make me think that every man is equal and deserve to be treated the same. Not in a communist sort of way, but in the sense that trivial differences should be put aside. Unfortunately, they can't, and we deal with terrorism and chaos in the world. Stopping the terrorism from the source is one thing, but instead, the US did that after ten years. I tell you, there will be people who won't be impressed. And radical action is a definite consequence.
But we're not equal, and we don't deserve to be treated the same. Think of Americans as trained, well-behaved dogs. 3rd-worlders are wild/rabid dogs. They either need trained or, if they're dangerous, put down.
Will you let your children play with a stray dog the same as they play with your own pet? If you do, then you're a fool(btw, not actually calling you a fool).

Yeah, I definitely agree you in that aspect. The thing is, the potential for equality is there, but since third-worlders have got the shitty end of the stick, their life views and morality and etcetera changes considerably from us living a luxury life. I think these "dogs" need to be trained. Of course, there's those that are dangerous, and yeah, they do need to be put down in order to preserve the potential for peace. So yeah, of course I wouldn't let my children touch that metaphorical dog. Moreover, I just think revenge-influenced murder isn't exactly what you'd expect from a luxury-living country like the US and other countries, whereas we know there's a better option than hit and run. Anyway, I'll stop typing up storms now.
I understand how you feel and I wish the world could be a more peacefull place and I aplaud your commitment to it. I guess I'm just not one who is good at pacifism because of my belief that complete peace is impossable but you can come close. As the saying go's pray for peace be ready for conflict. Thank you for this intellectual stimulation.
Of course world peace is impossible in this time's global society. Some countries just can't imagine prosperity, simply because of the way they grew up -- the way their minds were influenced to think. So, we must try and keep peace in the world, and if something does come up where we need violence, we will do so in order to keep that peace. But the thing is, killing Osama didn't really fix anything. 9/11 still happened. Ten years ago. They didn't stop to question him, or anything, so the reports say, they just killed him. Of course he deserved death. He deserved thousands for taking that many innocent lives. But sometimes, violence just isn't the answer.
I'm already getting tired of hearing about it, and it's only been 24 hours. x3 The guy died and that's great, but I wanna hurry along to the possible consequences of that having happened. And I'd like the recession to be over plz.
Still, one less bad guy in the world. Only countless more to go. >.>;
