My guess is all the others made their choice of outfit before Sweetie and Claw; leaving then with the choice of cop uniform or flight suit. Sweetie didn't want to be seen in Skye's girly getup, so Claw sacrificed his dignity and became the team's aviatrix so Sweetie could have the better uniform.
Now that's a noble sacrifice.
