I would suggest a slight background hue of each of the word balloons - like 15% of their respective colors, so it is easier at a glance to identify to whom each speech belongs, without having to change the black lettering.

I just feel it might be a bit too subtle. When the characters are not in panel, you need a quick identifier to tie text to a person. The border is a good start but I didn't notice it at first, myself - I had to puzzle out who would have said what. A lightly character-colored background in each circle would have made it a lot easier to identify who was talking, and people similar to myself who missed the border colors the first time would have more investment in the story when they don't have to spend any time to solve a riddle of who's saying what.

Just something to experiment with next time, maybe.

This storyline has kept me entertained innumerable times during commutes on the train and I'm thrilled at it continuing.

I'm very glad. believe it or not, I have this comic scripted out to its conclusion which comes to about page 350-something. that is different because for the longest time, i just made the comic with no real forward plan.

That’s astonishing, because it’s always struck me as a piece that fits together so effectively. Largely because the characters are intricately worked (both the heroes and villains). A great mixture of personalities, and different abilities that make for a captivating story.
