So, as happy as I was with Jackie's first ref initially, over time I realized I didn't. So I asked  Vivie to do an update! I absolutely love their style, and after they did Averix's sheet, I knew I would have to get another piece from them. And they helped me realize a major issue...

The ref was shaded. I didn't even think about it, but the point of a ref is to show all colors as is. Let this be a PSA: don't get References shaded! You want all the colors and patterns exactly how you want them in all art going forward, and if you shade them, an artist who has never seen your character before will draw the "shadows" as stripes!
