Today, we have a keychain stand that I made! The stand itself is made up of 12 branches for keychains, along with the 3 other parts; the tree top, the trunk, and the base! The base is a first for me, as I decided to make it weighted. The print was paused just before the top was laid down so that I could pour sand inside of the 3d print. Being my first time, I didn't really do it right. I didn't lay any adhesive on top of the sand, so when the printhead continues, sand was blown everywhere. Definitely not my smoothest print, but that's okay! I learned a lot!
The stand actualyl swivels, as a screw with two nuts and two bearings are inset into the thick part of the trunk where it connects to the base. All in all, I had a fun time making this and it's a great way to display little keychains I make! I'd love to make more of these!
