Decided to do a little follow-up to that other drawing I posted a few weeks back.
Mr. Heart usually gets up early and spends most of his spare time tending to his garden, and feeding the various birds and other wild animals near his house. His neighbor, signor Clemente, stays indoors most of the time, but Hubert is always happy when he catches a glimpse of the older man.
Hm, poor guy seems a little peckish this morning... Must have skipped breakfast.

Originally, that was the plan! These three right here are part of an old comic idea ( or several short comic ideas ) -> https://www.furaffinity.net/view/38032723/
And Aengus, my doggo priest, and his naughty young lady friend, live in the same town as the other group of characters. I also have ideas for a few more characters, in the same setting.
I'd still like to illustrate some of the comic ideas I have, but you know, life happens and stuff. Due to real life distractions, and my own silly quality standards for such projects, I've put my large-scale comic projects on hold. Illustrations such as this one, are basically my own humble attempts to build the skill, efficiency and confidence to eventually resume work on bigger comic projects.
And thank you very much for the nice feedback! I figure there's enough bad shit going on in real life, so I intentionally designed these characters and their little adventures to cheer people up.

Oh yeah, I totally get it. And it doesn't even have to be huge projects. Even one-page comic scenes once in a while could be a fun way to explore these characters, and would probably be much more digestible in today's fast-paced content-driven world anyway.
But yes, I'm grateful for these delightful characters and scenarios. They're both soothing and invigorating at once. ;)

I'll have to see what I can come up with. I do have some cute ideas which might be suitable for shorter comics. Certainly more reasonable and realistic to start small, and then potentially tackle larger projects later on.
By the way, have you seen the new Splinter pic I finished recently?

I'll try to keep it in mind, next time I draw Splinter! I'm pretty indifferent about dominance dynamics in relationships, so I usually don't give much thought to it when I come up with poses for a drawing. I remember I've occasionally drawn him in a more dominant position. ( https://www.furaffinity.net/view/20476995/ https://www.furaffinity.net/view/20116506/ )
Of course! I think artists should always, first and foremost, draw whatever they enjoy, or what's important to them. But that said, I'm open to suggestions, and I do think you have a point. A more dominant Splinter could be fun for a change. Might even turn it into a YCH scene, as I haven't done one of those in a while. Probably not any time soon though, as I already have several other fun artsy things in the pipeline.
It's just my personal preference, of course; everyone enjoys different things. But he's the daddy, and he's the sensei, and he's the master, and I like him being authoritative and dominant. Not necessarily aggressive, but he expects the best from you and you must work hard to impress him. He can easily blow your mind thanks to his decades of carefully-crafted skills, so do all you can to repay the favor. <3
So yeah, that'd be sweet. But obviously, no rush on that. Thanks for considering it though. <3
