Okay This one is for a Saggy tummy. something that wouldn't Hold a Prey Tight to The Spine of the Predator. of course a snake wouldn't Fall under that category. But What ever. LOL okay so.

1. Take a Prey. ( i chose an Odd Pose just to show a Bit of Detail. you can Use Jade if you wish )

2. Draw your pred with out including the Bulge of the Prey. like so.
A. you can Add Wrinkles at the Base of a Bend it Helps to add the Feel the Snake is really Pushing it Down
B. Try to Sneak in a Little Dimension it adds the feel that the prey and pred are Actually Interacting.

3. Now Draw A Rough outline Around your prey Try to Follow the Contours of the Parts that would Press against the Skin the Hardest but still Leaving enough play to make the snake have some girth to it as well.
A. Spine will NEVER fold to the Contour of the Prey. Ever. no matter how Saggy the Spine will Always be its own actor in this Case it can follow the prey just not Give to it. less Activity and detail will be Near the Spine. due to this.
B. a Rabbits ear does not Have the consistency or strength to push out the Skin of pretty much Any creature. but paws on the other Hand to. in Theory. anything the Snakes Body can not crush will show Threw the Snake. Such As Legs, hips, Head, Arms, Paws,
C. Stretching Skin. when skin is Stretched i treat it like Cloth. or rubber. When you Pull it. It will Thin out and Favor the detail Of The Actors Pulling it. such As In between toes fingers or any Solid Part pulling against it.

4. now be done with your Prey. showing only the Snake now. do a Couple of touch ups On your snake to Make the prey a little more coherent with out taking to much away from the Snake.
A. i like to Show Detail In the face. it is the number one way of letting the Viewer Know who Is In there with out a cut away. yes most of these facial Details Wouldn't Show in a Real snake. but stop being so Stickler. i mean Seriously. have you seen the tongues i draw?
B. when departing from the Prey back to the Snake. i Like to Put a Few Wrinkles. as if the Snake Is eagerly Welcoming its Prey to the next step. or trying to push the Prey in a little bit With a Eager Wiggle.
C. Same as B. Except we Add more of a Stress point here Making the Snake look As If It is Pushing the Prey down. or Swallowing with force.

5. Ah. a Rough Sketch. as you can See. Our Prey is almost able to move freely in there. i would Normally use this bulge for a toad or Frog due to the Loose Skin. but i'm An Idiot =3 and i Draw Snakes. LOL
A. As you can Tell the Spine doesn't Contour to the Head. but seems to Fight with it for Dominance. and of course. i added a Pupil. I Know. no Damn Way a 2d object would Make a Lump of any sort. but makes her look Damn Terrified don't it? by the Way.. Seriously.. unrealistic tongues. LOL
