It’s a carbuncle! While trying to force myself to get into drawing so I can draw a picture for Myst I decided to go out of my element and try for something that already exists but redesign it. I’ve been playing a lot of Final Fantasy Dissidia 012, while not freaking out for my finals. I started to think about redesigning a few summons with my own design.

In Final Fantasy, the recurring summons are usually redesigned for each game that they are in. This is just my “for fun” take on the popular Carbuncle summon. A useful little guy, in most games he’s a cute, green/blue creature with a single red gem on his forehead. I tried to mix in a bit of a mystic look, straying away from bubbly, but keeping cute. I think it’s okay, though it of course has it’s flaws, I wish I could find my better ink pens and not some common desk pen to do this.
