Getting into more recent stuff now so it'll probably be polychromos pencils from here on. And yes, it's pencils except for the bg which is in copic markers. ^^

I especially like the way the tendons on her font and hind paws stand out. Gives her lots of depth and substance. Is this color pencil? I could never get the look I wanted with those, lol!

OIn occasion I'll 'borrow' Crayolas from my kids but I could never achieve the same look y'all do.
Maybe I just need to put up the money and get these Prisma color pens and polychromos pencils? How much do the penicls run?

Prismacolor, especially the pack of 60 scholars are not very expensive (the professional ones are moreso). The polychromos kill one's wallet though. I have 120 and they must have been between 200 and 300$. x_x

That's gorgeous! Your poses and anatomy allways come out so fluid and natural. What references do you use for them? The twist on the leg there must have been really tricky!

And from the other POV, her expression plus a well toned body make my purr like a kitten. o_o;

I very very rarely use reference. (like, one on a hundred of my pics probably) I think in this one I used only hand reference from my own hands, and knee refs from a male bodybuilder pic. XD

I use my hands as references quite frequently. They're always right there and it's such a tricky thing to draw out of memory.
