You might be thinking "wait, Sam made a character for a Pokémon TTRPG, and it's a Pawmot, not a Politoed?" Well, the joke's on you, I made a Politoed too, just in case Luka is ever temporarily unable to adventure. Though his character concept quickly spiraled out of hand.
Emmet Excelsior Kyrou was a human who fell into the Grand Isles as well, bearing some extremely advanced technology. It malfunctioned as most machines do during the transitions, but he's equipped with a modular death ray arm cannon of his own design called The Eighty-Sixer, and a device for short-range time travel called the Chrono Brake. He has managed to make repairs to them and get them working, albeit at a minuscule fraction of their original strength. If a future Kyrou has come back in time, the original has only about two minutes to go back in time and become the new one that appeared, or else the Chrono Brake will build up Paradox and could cause catastrophe.
In his homeworld, Kyrou is a member of the mercenary group Company: Time, founded in 1999 by Doctor Flamenco, the discoverer of time travel. They have been making, made, and are making the world better via time travel ever since. Kyrou himself is from the year 4096, and says that Doctor Flamenco "rescued [him] from a lucrative and stable career as a zero-G limousine mechanic." The Eighty-Sixer requires vast amounts of electricity to fire, which he siphons from an apartment he rents in the year 8192, to which he never goes, so he doesn't have to pay the bill. His missions require no strategy, for if he is ever killed, he can prevent himself from dying with time travel. When asked how time travel works, he says that every ticket ever sold to see the film The Flash was purchased by Company: Time to serve as a seminar to explain an incredibly stupid way that time travel does NOT actually work. Video games in his home world are pretty awful because Company: Time prevented the crash of 1983, so no one ever learned any lessons from it. He partnered with Amelia Earhart on a mission to blow up Mars. "It had to go," he says. One of the company's top priorities is to never allow the secrets of time travel to fall into the hands of any government who would regulate it, and so they have avoided getting involved in any political struggles or ever recruiting politicians. However, they did prevent Abraham Lincoln's death by kidnapping John Wilkes Booth, disguising him as Lincoln, and taking him back in time and putting him in Lincoln's seat at the theater, putting him in an eternal time loop of shooting his own future self. His favorite expletive is "shucks" because it essentially allows him to say "shit" and "fuck" simultaneously, saving time. He has been to most of his own birthday parties more than once. He says that the way he dresses is the best style of all time--he has checked.
Kyrou lives in a garage, which he calls a Company: Time outpost, on the outskirts of Wayward where he is working to build a Chronopod he could use to go back in time much further than the Chrono Brake is capable of, and prevent himself from ending up in the Grand Isles. He does jobs as an adventurer for the Academy often to fund his work, and does them solo, even going to dungeons as infamous as The Tower alone... although, he is never truly alone, for he can go back in time and become his own ally. His transformation into a Politoed doesn't seem to bother him, but not much does.
This character is 10,000% a giant combination reference to the games Super Time Force Ultra and Kero Blaster. You should play them.
