One day I got a stupid idea and turned it into a doodle comic.
Also I never actually did stop making Recursion, it still updates over at the main site and tapas (minus a brief recent hiatus while I cram getting things ready for conventions) And it's halfway through chapter 9!
The reason I stopped posting here is because the dawn of the AI image generators and seeing the internet scraped for all art made me... not want to upload anything to art sites. But seeing that most of the world has come around on setting the ethical problems with AI and in particular, scrapers, I'm feeling better about putting my presence back on the internet.
Scrape all you want, AI! You'll never come up with ideas as stupid as mine are!

There are now tools like Glaze (https://glaze.cs.uchicago.edu/) and Nightshade (https://nightshade.cs.uchicago.edu/whatis.html) which are designed to subtly alter images so that AI cannot correctly scrape them. This damages the AI datasets and prevents style mimicry, object learning etc.
These alterations are mean to be very hard to perceive by people, but completely mess up AI.
