A CSS popaganda poster, cause while the CSS has conscription you need to prove why your force is the best force to join.
Though, we all know the best force is [REDACTED]
This case we have a poster from the Fighter Core, cause saying "Air Force" for space fighter sounds silly... Though they are still the Navy... Lets not think that hard about it.
Though yes a CSS Fighter Core Poster and this one is designed for the Vulpin market with the famous CSS Figther Ace Elke Anhalt:
>Famous for fighting in several skirmishes.
>completing five tours with the CSS Navy in several different fleets.
>"80 confirmedair space victories"
Elke history had started in the native Luftgruppe 7, Gruppe für elektronische Gegenmaßnahmen alongside a smaller post in the Vulpin Sonderabteilung Luftforschung.
Advancement into the CSS Navy was qucik and Elke joined the CSS on her own accord out of a interest for what new technology would be at her use in this alien force. She would be place intially in the CSS 5th Fleet though after her skill were noted transfer to the 2nd fleet came very quick and at current the Elite Squaron "Triple 1" is stationed with the 2nd fleet.
The Triple 1 is a squaron that is both loved by the CSS and feared by forces in the Federation... Though in the ironic CSS fashion the CAB is always very restrictive in how they are deployed. To the CAB the morale loss of any of the ace pilots dying is a lot worse than having them sit around and do useless propaganda work.
All the pilots are very aware of this and they hate it
As may also be expected the debate of which ace in the CSS is the best ace is a hotly debated topic on IDEN forum and amongst those with a interest in the Fighter Core.

The red on black was really inspired by Elite Tie Fighter squadrons, though the unifrom is slightly more contemporary design
and the CSS Space Fighter is definitely not as sleek as a Imperial Tie Fighter XD
Most of the CSS pilots might have prefered a Tie Fighter
Thank you, a marble fox was a interesting type of fox I wanted to try for once)

Y'know, fighter combat in space is actually quite dumb and dangerous. Y'know why? Because Sir Isaac Newton is the deadliest son of a bitch in space!
Wonderful ^w^
> Here is your slighly less cool flight suit
> Here is your simpler fighter craft (cause you know those elite ones cost money)
> Here is your new AO, details will be given from your acting officer when you get there
> Training?
> Don't worry about it, a little first hand expirence is way better, but your D.S. will run you through the control on the way there
> You'll be a fighter Ace before you know it
> Good luck ;)

Excellent ;)
Well the first one I really got into was EF2000 by DiD, their games after that weren't as compelling. Then Falcon 4 and it's sort of remake Allied Force*, that was a fun game but required far too much time investment to play it properly so I had to give it up. DCS World looks good but again I don't have the spare time to play it :/
How about you?
*one of my favourite gaming memories, shortly after take-off I had a systems failure which knocked out the HUD, so pressed on anyway, ended up completing my bombing mission successfully by just estimating when to drop and also shot down two Su-27's before making a perfect landing back at base. I couldn't usually do that with a totally functional aeroplane!

Sounds cool, I have seen Falcon4 before in passing, it did look interesting.
However my simulator history is a little more limited. I did once get to play my cousin edition of Microsoft flight simulator which while I never found out how to make the plane fly all the buttons and switches were enough to keep my occupied.
I had a similar expirence a few years back trying DCS, dropping into the SU25 cockpit and just flicking buttons for an hour before leaving XD
Some simulator I have had little more success with have been things like Hind, Apache Long Bow and Tiny Combat Arena.
For games on the ground I have also played Steel Amour Blaze of War; a fun sim of either a T62 or M60A1 and Gunner Heat PC (more tanks) and lastly Tie Fighter, cause scifi sim is still a sim right? ;)

Falcon 4 has all sorts of mods and updates but you need a degree to figure out how to install them all, maybe when I've retired!
And I have to admit civilian flight sims don't really interest me, to quote the legend that is Topper Harley, "I always wanted to fly...bomb stuff...shoot people down." ;)
Ohhhh interesting, I've heard of those helicopter sims but never played them. Tank sims do sound interesting, but they'd probably need to be multiplayer to get the full effect.
And absolutely Tie Fighter is a sim, never played it either though, and haven't even heard of Tiny Combat Arena and Gunner Heat PC before ;)

See when it comes to mods, the one thing that has always bemused me is following a tutorial what feels like 1 to 1 and yet it dosen't work XD
Oh agreed, civilian flights sim are a little too plain with the a to b, though I do enjoy the Euro Truck sim A to B or flying a space ship cargo A to B.
A cargo pilot sim could be kind of interesting XD
They interesting, I only heard of them a few months back and found them on GOG so snapped them in, The tank sims are neat and I like your point, a multi - crew tank sim would be cool XD
TCA and GHPC are some new-ish games, TCA for a more classic sim, though I think it still only let the player use a Harrier (though more has been promised) and GHPC is a little more light sim of modern Cold War armoured vechile combat.
Though if there is one thing I am looking for, I'm realy trying to find a sim that covers the classic Mig15 vs F86

I'm sure those mods make sense to the people who make them but to everyone else it's just needlessly obscure and complicated.
Maybe you've missed your calling in life as a truck driver? ;) And true!
Ah I see, thanks! And there was a sim for that back in the day called Mig Alley, I never played it but it was supposed to be pretty good as I recall. Actually here we go! https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MiG_Alley_(video_game)

I mean, anything is simple when the person who made it uses it... Though it is fair to say, I've met plenty of people who make things and all they can say is, "it just worked"
Which depending on context is kind of neat or kind of concerning...
You might be on to something there, though maybe not a truck... I think I always would have liked a cargo ship, big metal thing on the open sea... Bliss
I just looked into some gameplay, it looks super cool. Kind of sad it's not on one of the big sellers but I'll do some snooping

heh very true, and there's an awesome time-lapse 4K video of a container ship going across the Pacific which is rather excellent.
I have to admit I like missile combat in military-aviation games, it's like high-speed three-dimensional chess where you're trying to kill each other. As much as I enjoyed Top Gun Maverick they're wrong when they say if you think in combat you're dead, it's the other way around, if you don't consider what you're doing and plan ahead it won't end well!
Man I really am a frustrated fighter-pilot...

Oh yes, I've seen those videos. Really makes the world seem a lot smaller at 100x speed... I feel like the IRL journey dosen't feel as quick... Espcially on a rough sea... (Still tempting... Actually on a related side note I once read it possible to book spaces on cargo ships to use them for transit)
Oh yes, I think the more modern missile based air combat is a whole different expirence to the more traditional dogfighter types, though I think a lot of games like to call to those traditional dogfights, I mean it is epic
If there is one things I picked up from some of the media, the electronic side and planning aims to take out the hostile aircraft long before they're close enough for guns.
Frustrated? Nah, you're just the text book pilot.
(The one that does not get blown up)

Absolutely, and interesting, probably can't do that any more for insurance reasons or something.
And heh well I hope you're right ;)
btw I read a good book on the subject recently which you might like, 'Fighter Pilot Tactics' by Mike Spick, it covers from WW1 to the early 1980's, when it was published.
