It captures that rare moment when Cotto doesn’t act like a gloomy, angry dog and actually enjoys dancing with his brother, whom he admires and cares about so much.
I just sat and looked at this work for a long time, unable to tear myself away from it.
in some places the fur turned out even better than in the old illustrations (which took a month of work to draw), but I didn’t use any references or anything else. the work was done quickly and the shadows and highlights were applied on one layer (I usually use at least three layers). My skills have clearly grown over the past year and a half. and if you compare it with the last work that I painted for these boys, the progress is truly enormous.
