but anyways, i used as reference a random picture i found through google (just search "lion profile") mainly, but when i was drawing this, i noticed that the face was coming out really nice :3 but the ear/mane wasnt D: so i took a look at some drawings, and i ended up using that as my reference... a drawing from  notlyon
