So on top of it being pride month this month it’s also Caribbean American Heritage Month. I’ve been away for a bit but now that I’m back I can acknowledge all the holidays and stuff I’ve missed out on like how it was Mother’s Day for the Dominican Republic a few weeks ago and being half Dominican I wasn’t going to let that just slide by so I wrote this poem about it and the way culture can make you celebrate something again so soon.
