Another 3d work, this time for Minecraft Custom Player Model mod, proving that spherical dragons can make a home in cubical worlds.
Everything- model, texture, animation, scripting is the work of
petrenko25 who's been an absolute pleasure to work with. A video showcase can been found here: https://drive.google.com/drive/fold.....O6cBpI2F-j2fv5 and it's definitely worth seeing in motion. Ruth can run, jump, crouch, swim, and, among other things, fly so go check it out!
The mod is now publicly available in the drive link!

The cubes the body is made of do scale in size with the hunger bar level, which fills much more slowly. The body shape change is compatible with all of the shown animations. The rest of the features include some custom scripts for entity interactions, animations, sounds and minor gameplay changes. To describe them in detail would take a few paragraphs so making a video presentation is the best approach.
It is not a full custom mod. The only thing needed on the server side is the datapack, which acts as an addon to other mods. Assuming a modded server which already has CPM and origins for other models.
The assets were to be released to the shared CPM library, but considering the hate I have received regarding the model design I have backtracked on that decision.

I'll preface my comment by first stating that the context of the model and such isn't my own preference (besides dragon, which is great).
... But it is absolutely a shame that people couldn't be tolerant, because this is without a doubt the best animation I've seen done in respects to the character's model and size, for not just walking and running, but flight and swimming. I cannot give enough praise for how phenomenally good that attention to detail alone is.
Enormous kudos to you.

It is not hard actually. There are two mods which allow for custom player model.
First is called Figura, which is more advanced and offers integrated lua scripting, but it is limited to smaller models.
The second is called "Customizable player models" or CPM, it is more crude than figura and you have to use other mods for the scripts. On the other hand you are not limited in model size.
Both mods can import models made in blockbench, but CPMs animations has to be done in its own in game editor.
Ruth uses combination of CPM, origins datapack, vanilla resource pack and vanilla datapack.
