Interesting lore we’ve been given here, i guess that makes sense though, with the whole theme of “losing your humanity” that many shapeshifter stories and media portray.
Also love Curtis’ reaction at the bottom panel, like he’s so shocked that the transformation halted so that he can process what the wisp just revealed to him, may be somewhat funny for us, but extremely terrifying for poor Curtis.

Tastes blood? like how much is a taste?
If I bust my lip and wolfy kisses me, did I just exchange my beefy/furry bf for a human eating killing machine?
I am seeing a lot of negatives if thats the case. I mean, how and I suppose to enjoy all he has to offer if I have to zone off everything above his neck for safety's sake.

Honestly I am expecting "taste" is a full on mouthful. Being cursed to wolfy-damnation because you licked ur boyfriend while ur a were- only to find out he cut himself while shaving seems a bit overkill.
But I feel like I am possibly missing a detail, like "if he tastes blood while under the influence of the feral mind" meaning if Wisp does their job and is like "Curtis, be a good boy!" and Curtis gets a call back to reality then everything is all good. As long as wolfy Curtis doesn't get a taste while he's behind the wheel, then he is fine.
Otherwise it would be a tragic detail/twist of fate if a were- had to choose between giving someone (especially someone they care about) CPR to save their life while they are injured and there is no chance for blood avoidance, thus they end up condemning themselves to feral oblivion (and possibly killing the person anyway), or having to watch said person die in order to protect themselves.
