With so many skunk pony mountains, you’d think that skunk ponies are equivalent to pony population

The bulk of the skunkpony populace resides in the Mephite Mountain region and its surrounding forests. They don't quite have the numbers of ponies because of how big Equestria is, but they have parity within the most populated region of Equestria - that in which Canterlot, Manehattan, Baltimare, Fillydelphia, and Cloudsdale are situated.

If you do t mind me asking. What is the current relationship, nation wise, between regular ponies and skunk ponies?
Do ponies see skunk ponies as a vermin?, enemy?, potential ally?
And how do skunk ponies view regular ponies?

So, they're not considered an actual nation because they're fairly decentralized. It's just a bunch of skunkponies who live in this particular region.

Not sure they'd see skunkponies as vermin, but likely most would fall under a category of nuisance. Granted, more than most, but we're not really talking changeling level threats here given the skunkponies aren't a massive force that goes to consume a city. The closest ones who might make the enemy distinction would be Malodora (because she's faced the sisters) and Musky (because she's a siren and feeds on ponies).

Skunk ponies mostly view ponies as entertainment at best. They find tormenting ponies to be funny, especially when they find ponies in the Mephite Mountain region because there's more fellow skunkponies than ponies, so less chance to be interrupted and more chance to sorta pick off a group as they try to make their way through. Of course, there are the grumpier ones who treat entrance into 'their' territory as an offense.

It depends, really. There are some who have powers that work in specific ways with knocked out victims (Ranky, for instance). Others probably just laugh and leave them wherever they are.

Addendum - Musky is another example, given she feeds on anyone who feels disgust, misery, and agony around her. Which is why part of her gig is to make sure she burrows her song nice and deep so you dream of her.

wonder how the one pony i have would fit in if thrown into this equestria, since he might be counted as a skunk pony, though it's only his tail(he hides it though) and his scent is sweet like grapes and fruits, basically the opposite of the skunk ponys in the lore
