And so Tina reveals to Sherryl the "sure-fire faceplant-prevention technique". Well maybe not that elaborate, but it is true that neither of them want their faces any closer to the muck than they have to, and Tina's method makes it difficult to trip on any hidden objects buried in the mud, by not shifting one's weight forward till your leading foot is far enough ahead that you can sink it straight down by shifting your weight to it. Reluctantly Sherryl ventures into the suddenly very-deep mud using the technique revealed to her. She knows she's going to sink real deep, looking at Tina. But is this as bad as it's going to get? well, there's one more page to go before I begin anew the process of crafting the remaining details of their hike thru the goo.
Technical:
At this point, nothing new to report. This comic page is a combination of all the techniques and discoveries mentioned on the previous two pages. I guess some may notice that the composition is a tad vertical-ish. I wasn't trying to imitate the webtoon (phone screen) format -- the process of rewrites and reformatting with nearly-complete inks led to stretching the canvas so as to avoid crowding the characters. Or something like that XD
Digital drawing done in Clip Studio Paint EX. 21 layers including text objects, 33MB .CLIP file. Part of Project ID# 512
