Did some random expression practice headshot doodles this morning. Wanted to try a couple of different things, so I started to color this one and tried to block out the form/etc of the face with shading without adding lines. It didn't turn out quite how I wanted so I started going back over lining the sketch and cleaning it up, this is where I ended up cutting myself off in the interest of time.

Also interested in exploring this piercing idea more - the nose ring in this sketch wasn't anywhere near curved enough to look right, but it gave me the idea instead of fixing it to look like a ring, to add two rings at the corner of the nose instead that it would be a chain or rope or cord of some sort that hung between the two. I don't know if I'll use this often but it's an idea I do think I'll play around with a bit more.
