Happy Father's Day to all the dads and father figures out there! Hopefully this sweet piece for today will bring a smile and some giggles to everyone's faces. But allow me to explain why what you're seeing happened.
Taylor actually wanted to do something sweet and special for his dad, Verse. And after Cecil and I were invited due to being considered part of the family due to being his boyfriend and best friend respectively (Even though it'd be my second time seeing Verse due to meeting him around Christmas last year), the 3 of us had a think of what to do for Father's Day. And soon enough, the mention of doing something sweet ultimately inspired us to do some baking. And we agreed on baking cinnamon rolls, based on Verse's iconic shirt.
Once the 3 of us were prepared with the ingredients and cookbook to follow the recipe (Appropriately titled "Baking for Dummies"), we worked together and even took turns contributing to baking the cinnamon rolls so Verse can ultimately taste the hardwork and love we put into it. And luckily we managed to finish making them with no problems!
So after that, we called Verse down towards the kitchen where he was already smelling the sweet scent of those cinnamon rolls. And once he arrived in a new shirt that read "Papa Cat", we wished him a happy Father's Day and explained we made them with him in mind. And we even allowed him the first one, which he eagerly took despite how I told him and the others that we're supposed to wait for them to cool down first! Only for Cecil to tell me that waiting was for suckers. Well... Enjoy the burning taste on your tastebuds. At least everyone made sure we all at least got to taste a cinnamon roll each.
I did wonder why Taylor was making that face as he watched his dad eating the first cinnamon roll, but he simply explained he just thinks Verse looks cute when he's eating.
Overall, this was a very sweet Father's Day we got to celebrate. And even more so for doing something as sweet as baking something good to eat. Honestly reminds me of one of my childhood memories as well.
And again, happy Father's Day out there to all the loving dads and father-figures. And hope everyone has a wonderful day with the ones you love so much too. No matter where they are.
(FYI, Cecil's shirt reads "Terror".)
