Thanks! I had the caption idea in my head for quite a while-- but it needed the whole team, not just a star player. And the HOWLERS in the background was a bit of a happy accident. I originally had it at full opacity, but I accidentally applied a gradient mask to it that I had intended just for the stars. But when I saw it fading out behind the players like that, I knew I had to keep it!
Fave time a thousand! Oh can o-kemono draw every player on every team, in color? Please please pleeeease? :)
Triple-X is my fave, and not just because I created him... That's an amazing rendition of a basketball playing octopus right there.

I haven't asked o-kemono to do that, but I'll be seeing him at FA:U, so maybe I'll get a chance.
Triple-X is absolutely the most unique. o-kemono told me that character was the most difficult to dry, but I think he did an outstanding job! Despite looking so unusual, it's not so totally crazy to see a character like that on a furry court.
Personally, I adore Andy Raine. He's supposed to be a total nerd when off the court, someone who reads Game Informer before picking up Sports Illustrated. O-K had an awesome idea of giving him a customized headband and even a little cape when he gets photographed since he's also a big comic book fan.

Now, just... wow. first, I have to say that "hear that?' is a great tag/slogan for the Howlers.

Thanks! I really love the mood in this. All that open sky over their heads, those long serifed letters faded in a starry sky... I kept trying to add a moon or mountains or something like that to it, but everything I added just cluttered up the background. Somehow leaving it a wide open sky with those two words in the middle just had the most impact.
I like how the octopus has, since the time JTig drew him, picked up some bodily decoration.
Also, I really dig Karl and Lewis's poses on the end, though I don't know why. I think it's because they're so understated.
And of course I can't help but notice that since I spontaneously gave Vince a hand tattoo...IT'S STILL THERE. :O
