Description: Verslinden is a hybrid made for Jurassic World shortly after the creation of the Indominus Rex. His creator, an anthro Pyroraptor named Amethyst, who was a scientist for InGen, asked Henry Wu for some of the Indominus’ DNA to make her own hybrid. After getting Dr. Wu’s permission, Amethyst took the DNA sample and went to Dr. Wu’s Secret Testing Facility, which was on the side of Mt. Sibo. Her goal was to make a more unique hybrid than Wu’s Indominus Rex, something she could train to be docile enough to be a free-roaming asset in the park. Looking around at the vials of DNA that Dr. Wu kept in the facility for making hybrids, she found a vial of Dalmatian Pelican DNA, the largest genus of Pelican.

She thought on the idea for a moment. Eventually, she thought it’d be perfect to use Pelican DNA, getting the machines up and running as she used the vial of Indominus DNA provided by Dr. Wu and Pelican DNA to start work on a new hybrid. It took her some months, working on her own to make the hybrid before eventually, the egg was able to hatch, revealing a baby Pelican and Indominus Rex hybrid that she would name Verslinden. Verslinden’s neck and tail had glowing runes, which on their own translated into many different meanings, but when put together, translated to “Guardian” and “Friendly Predator”.

Verslinden was born with the body of an Indominus, his top half covered in fluff while his underside was scaly, having a pudgy gut with the head of a Pelican. His bill contained a set of teeth on the top and bottom, with a much larger tongue inside than what Pelicans usually have. As he grew up, trained, and learned how to be docile around park-goers, he learned he could make his bill various levels of transparency, from being able to see the outline of someone in his bill to completely clear like glass. This ability also came with the ability to do the same to his tongue as his bill became transparent, and he even learned he could change into an anthro at will.

Verslinden, after growing up enough, was taken to Main Street in Jurassic World, where almost everyone at first was terrified until he laid down. One of the kids, being too intrigued by him, ran up to rub his bill. The parents at first tried to run after their kid, worried they’d be in danger, only to be surprised hearing content purring emit from him as he pulled their kids close gently, hugging them to his bill and chest gently as Amethyst trained him, who gently tossed some freshly cut steak into his bill to reward the good behavior. Soon enough, the other park-goers warmed up and started to pet and cuddle with Verslinden, making him smile and tell them that he had been created as a free-roam asset, designed to hang out with guests and play with them, sometimes carrying them in his bill or on his back around the park.

Verslinden began spending his days carrying park guests in his free time, and for the rest of his time, he hung out with Amethyst, enjoying her company and hearing her talk about the stuff she does with her work. Years later, Mt Sibo was to erupt, and there had been numerous parks built around the world after the success of the Isla Nublar Jurassic World. Verslinden, not wanting to risk the safety of Amethyst, put her in his bill and took to the skies, fleeing Isla Nublar. Upon arriving on the mainland, Verslinden and Amethyst searched for somewhere safe, soon finding a forested mansion owned by a human named Joshua Direfang, who happily accepted them into his home to allow them safety.
