I thought they were legit until I worked around them every day. Then they just became another part of the daily life. Thus...boring :P

I bet I worked on that aircraft. My shop probably worked on all of the B52's at Barksdale at one time or another. I was kind of surprised that I never actually had to install an RTM in the air craft, but we probably install the radar dish a couple times. Also, I really hated getting up in the rear of the aircraft, especially in summer. I'm glad I didn't have to walk the catwalk in the bomb bay.

That's one of the reservist's jets. Though it might be one of the ones Active Duty gave them during the merger.

We didn't work on reservist B52's as much, maybe once or twice. I also remember working some on the B-52H that the reservists gave to Nasa to replace its B-52D model (evening shift did most of that, but I still got a NASA packet of a sticker and aircraft info).

All this merging stuff is probably meant to keep people on their toes.
