This is the basic bunny that I've created from the blueprint I put in scraps a little while back. He looks a little bit different from my blueprints basically because my blueprints weren't very good in a lot of ways.
I used Blender to create him, and over six weeks of time I've been slowly getting better and better at using the program. Blender's interface takes some getting used to. It's opposite most other windows programs as far as selection and manipulation, and uses the middle mouse button for a lot more stuff than any other program does. After six weeks of it eating up every scrap of free time I have, a lot of it has become second nature (to the point I'm getting turned around when I try to use a program like PSP or Xara, which have a more "normal" interface.)
This particular doll is all one object still. I'm using "vertex group assignment" to assign different faces to seperate materials. This fella uses four textures... one for the fur, eyeballs, and pupils, one for his nose, one for his irises, and one for his corneas. I created an image map for his fur, which also has the colors for his irises and nose. The difference is that the image map for the fur also has a modified "clouds" texture affecting the normals, while the image map for his nose and eyes uses a smooth, shiny material. It's actually the same exact image map, just used in two seperate materials. Probably that's not how you're supposed to do it, but... I'm still a noob.
I'm still not quite happy with how he looks, but at this point I'm gonna move on to rigging him with bones and setting up some morph targets. If I pinch and tweak him until he's "perfect", I'll never be done. =:P
On a related note => FA finally created a "Rabbit" species for the drop down menus! WE'RE NO LONGER FURSECUTED MY LAPINE BROTHAS! CAN I GET A WOOP WOOP!
