Here's everything together:
Major and minor lighting systems with highlights and shadows.

Again, color doesn't matter. If anything, they look like white plaster statues under different colored lights, which is exactly what I want.

The actual color of things doesn't matter. When I put in the colors, with the lighting situation taken care of, it will make handling colors easier. I just have to select the base values for each hue and let the highlights and shadows take care of themselves.

There will be some tweaking and additional super hotspot highlighting that goes on later, but the solid groundwork is done here. Still no sky yet, hmmm!

Those of you with printmaking experience will see that I'm thinking about this stuff as a printmaker, in layers that combine together. If this were an actual blockprint, each consideration (midtone, light, and shadow) would be it's own carved block and color that then combine into the final print.
