I would entitle this series “things to see in and around Zenith” but the only other part of it so far is Berstow 15 kilometers down the line, https://www.furaffinity.net/view/51413198/ and there's nothing interesting to see there, just weird people and a college campus. Maybe throw in there nondescript derelict factory? https://www.furaffinity.net/view/56631148/
The Zenith modern art institute (ZMAI) has existed in one form or the other for the last four hundred years, has been very consistent since then as a time capsule of complete loss of meaning, and this virtue has earned the institute the nickname of Zenith time machine. Symbol of an era that dreamed itself the end of history, a golden (sometimes dark) age of experimentations on the fabric of time, it interrogates the meaning of “contemporary”. Does what we refer to as “contemporary art” exit this category past a certain expiration date, once the artist and his or her critics are all relegated to cemeteries? Or is contemporary art as a frame of reference, its own thing located outside of time, which would border on paradoxical? Or is there a way, as numerous and adventurous Faustian theorists and despots, from the Phrases of the ancient world to modern day dictators, frantically tried to determine and enact, to erase time altogether?
I've got more about this particular place. Not that I have a narrative in mind with it as the background but maybe there's one to develop from developing it to begin with. Just wanted to put that out there.
