My favourite sceptic. This guy doesn't turn up until later in the comic but of course I needed to make a ref sketch before I got to any of the important characters. I have my priorities. Anyway.

This guy follows his curiosity for fringe science and spirituality anywhere, and it eventually lead him to Pent's very niche and undocumented cult. Then, naturally, they hooked up and start fueling each others egos, spiralling into some sort of obscene unstoppable gay preternatural powerhouse (not entirely, but it'd be funny if they did.) Once again, no spoilers.

Merv is I think the only character from the comic that wasn't based on the characters I made back in highschool, not counting Pent's ex who canonically got raptured after them living happily together for a solid 6 months (I treat my ocs very well, I promise). Really I should finish getting this comic written so I'm not having to ramble so much in the description of images. Maybe I should go do that now actually-
