For Penny Dragon VIA the Fantasy Xchange. Her miniature dragon character as a gryphon... since this month's theme was "species swap".
I went with the strawberry idea because I wanted to do something super cute and thought the red of the berry would look good with the blue of her main body.
I know your character is slightly bigger then she is shown here... but just pretend that the strawberry has been geneticly engineered to be the size of a mango. XD

Species Gryphon

Two powerful warriors were wondering through the woods, in search of a terrifying dragon that has been terrorizing the village for a month now. Gale, a man wearing heavy thick steel armor as he had a claymore on his back and his brother Nathan, wearing simple leather armor and had a wooden shield and a steel sword in his hand. They both traveled together as they wondered through the woods and soon walked towards a bush.
As they were about to pass the bush they heard the leaves moving and scratching against each other as they both looked at the bush waving and flailing around a little. Nathan pulled out his sword and held it with one hand as he pushed his sword into the bush and moved the leaves, only to see nothing as he searched the bush.
As he poked around, suddenly a small fluff of white fur fell out rolling with a strawberry, the they looked down at it and the fluff unrolled out as it was a small baby gryphon holding onto a strawberry. "Is that . . . a Gryphon?" Nathan asked, "I-Idont know." Gale spoke shivering lightly, having fear of mythical creatures, he didnt know what it was or what it could do.
The small runt looked up at the two and opened its beak with a smile letting out a small chirp to them. Nathan smiled as he reached down and grabbed the Gryphon and strawberry in both hands as he had his hands like a bowl as he held the small baby and stood up straight, "Aww. . . look at this cute little thing, come on over Gale." Nathan spoke looking at his brother 10ft away.
"No thanks, you can play with your new friend but we have a job to do, now you coming along?" gale asked, afraid of the small cute creature.
"Aw come on Gale, at least pet it." He spoke as he held his hands out to his brother with the small gryphon in his hands playfully biting at the strawberry.
Gale gulped, "Oh, alright . . . " Gale spoke walking towards the small creature as his hands slowly approached its head.
It stopped playing with the strawberry and looked over at Gale and the shinning armor as it looked at his hands approaching it, it smiled and sat down, giving him large shinning eyes as it looked at his hand, it then pushed its head forward and released a chirp.
"AHHHHH!!!!" gale yelled quickly running back nearly tumbling down and hiding behind the tree, "That vile demon, it nearly took my hand off, get rid of it and kill it before it kills us or anyone else!" Gale spoke, but Nathan couldnt hear him.
Having the strength to let the small baby down gently on the ground as he was laughing hard and fell to his back and rolled around on the grass laughing loudly. The small Gryphon walked over to his head and watched as he was holding his chest, rolling around on his back and laughing before it quickly jumped and landed on its back while rolling around and making frequent loud chirps, trying to imitate ((Almost wrote intimidate))
"Shut up!" Gale spoke still hiding behind a tree before he sighed, "This is going to be a long trip. . . ."
