BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION
Name: Kuroda Toyama (formerly Kuroda Mishina)
Age: 28
Gender: Male
Species: Mobian, Wolf
Family Relations: Kaguya Mishina†, Keisuke Mishina
Affiliation: AZURE Corp
Occupation: Tech Scientist
Secondary Role: Intercorporate Asset
PHYSICAL CHARACTERISTICS
Height: 5'8'' (default), 3' 2'' (Mobian variant)
Weight: 180 lbs (default), 128 lbs (Mobian variant)
Build: Toned, pear-shaped physique
Coloration: Black with white belly/chest and muzzle
PSYCHOLOGICAL PROFILE
Sexual Orientation: Pansexual (Kinsey Scale Rating: 3)
Temperament: Shy, quiet, and introverted, but is usually well-mannered and inquisitive, especially when trying to help others. Past trauma from paternal abuse used to make him more painfully shy, but his foster family taught him how to manage it, which has resulted in him becoming more outgoing. Kuro is often described as "cute," likely from others witnessing his tail telegraphing emotions such as happiness or excitement. Nonetheless, he's capable of his secondary purpose and taking control of a situation with militaristic discipline. Furthermore, there's only a slim (but nominal) chance that his personal morals will get in the way of an objective. He also isn't above using coercion and manipulation for what he perceives to be the "greater good." His prior abuse committed by his father, Keisuke Toyama, may have contributed to this attitude and at least part of his acting skills. At the end of the day, he still sees the best in people and expresses adoration and respect for those close to him.
GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Born after the rise and fall of the Eggman Empire, Kuroda was born into the Mishina family under Keisuke Mishina (dossier unavailable) and Kaguya Mishina (dossier sealed). Based on Kuroda's personal account of his family, Keisuke's personality has traits most in common with narcissistic behavior. Being the family's breadwinner and the owner of his own trading company only inflated his already emphasized self-importance, which in turn led to toxic (though not outright vitriolic) verbal abuse.
What ultimately led to Kuroda running away was a decline in Keisuke's mental state after Kaguya's death (a notorious case that was ruled as vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated). Keisuke's casually offensive and bitter comments became more brazenly hateful, especially in response to Kuroda's academic shortcomings that resulted from his mother's untimely death. At one point, shortly after Kuroda's fourteenth birthday, Keisuke physically assaulted Kuroda while heavily intoxicated. At first, Kuroda sought legal emancipation, meaning he would technically be considered an adult under most legal standpoints and, therefore, be independent of Keisuke. However, according to local law, Kuroda's case didn't fit the criteria needed for emancipation, which meant he had no choice but to flee his father's house and excommunicate with him.
After living nomadically for a few weeks, Kuroda eventually encountered Miyo Toyama, a rabbit Mobian sympathetic to Kuroda's circumstances. After inviting him into her home and introducing the rest of her family to him, they accidentally established a symbiotic relationship. While Kuroda was given space and sympathetic ears to help mourn the death of Kaguya, he was there to fill a void left behind when their teenage daughter, Aya, ran from home to be with a boy who later gunned her down as part of a drug-related incident. Both Kuroda and the Toyama household gradually lifted each other out of depression and loss. While Keisuke's abusive nature will never truly be forgotten, Kuroda realized that he lived with a new and much better family.
To return the kindness he received back to the Toyama Family, who had adopted him into their fold, twenty-two-year-old Kuroda (now going by "Kuro") took a job at AZURE Corp, where he was trained to be a tech scientist. However, the company's ongoing cold war with other tech companies and AZURE's recent breakthroughs (in quantum physics, hard-light construction, and the invention of XtraStorage dimensional storage) necessitated firearm and close-quarters combat training. Kuro didn't learn the reason why until the interview, where he was offered a position to work for AZURE's internal private military while his job as an entry-level tech scientist would be his cover.
With no other job listings available that didn't require an expensive commute, Kuro reluctantly accepted the offer. In the years that followed, he proved himself to be not only an intelligent and capable lab tester but also received training for espionage to help AZURE expand its research and collect information at a distance.
Thanks to his newfound career, Kuro gained a new sense of purpose and became a strong and capable soul willing to risk life and limb to protect the company and the innocent.
