Chapter 24: Count Your Blessings - Upon finally reaching the hamlet for their next assignment, the group run into a peculiar individual that may be a potential source of information for their mission.
Finally, proper introductions to "The Alchemist" and while he might know some alchemy, it is not actually his profession.
So, time kind of got away from me and it is now the 25th of June (at least where I'm at), but I had wanted to post this as a personal celebration for having made it two full years now pretending I can write a half-decent story. I had wanted to do up at least one chapter of my other personal projects but between work, other commitments, and just general laziness, I let that slip me by. It may take me a while, but I'm going to get them done one day.
I would like to reiterate that I'm immeasurably grateful to anyone who simply glances in anything I post's direction. Thanks much for that.

That's actually something I'm a little worried about with the next two chapters as well: they're probably going to look like a bunch of fluff as I try to make the characters a bit more relatable until the inevitable catastrophe strikes.
Though I wouldn't worry too much about Vlad. I mean, really, what can one noble man who's probably never lifted a finger in his life possibly do to three trained soldiers and a skilled thief?
