The Lion King: Cheers to 30 Years β by Kosperry
This is my tribute to the 30th Anniversary of "The Lion King". An iconic animated masterpiece that had such a profound effect on my life growing up. It's one of the main reasons why I love animals, and especially stories and cartoons featuring animals. Saw it in theaters when I was 8 years old, on the day of release β June 24, 1994. The movie was, and still is INCREDIBLE.
This artwork is a commission done by my good friend Kosperry. As you can see, I'm imitating Rafiki by holding up baby Simba. And if you look closely, the shining light has 30 sparkles emanating from it to mark this occasion.
Happy Anniversary!

Ironically speaking, Mufasa and Sarabi may not approve of some strange cunning fox grabbing their son xd
But the art is still amazing and those sparkles are a very nice touch β¨
As for TLK itself, it made the same affect on me. Sadly, I never had the opportunity to see it in the theater. But I watched the original or the sequel on the VHS almost every day back in the 90s ;w;
