Daisy's lecturing here hits pretty hard. not to me directly, as that sort of lesson is something I have largely internalized, but most of my friends and lovers are not so. Daisy, here, manages to put that vague conception of "self deprecation is bad, actually, and doesnt help you improve as a person" and reinforces it, putting into a sort of method as to how to try and make things right, so to say. thinking you are rotten brings nothing but pain, but atonement for wrongs committed, and learning from them, *that* is how you grow.
