A friend informed me that this sort of behavior - commissioning an artist and then cancelling upon getting a wip - is becoming more common these days. Apparently dumping a mid-commission wip into an ai program can get you a 'finished' image, so people are basically starting to scam artists... Not saying that's what happened here but I wonder.
