Is he a chimera or a manticore? Both? I’m not really sure. All I know is he’s the character I’ve evolved into during my time playing Caves of Qud. I started as an anthro thanks to the mod, but as you can see Jahiin grew into quite the interesting beast. I took a few liberties in deciding what species he was a combination of - panther contributing the lower tail, fur and musculature, fruit bat contributing ears, some of the face and the wings, and of course scorpion from that stinger.

I even used the tattoo gun in game to add the tattoos to him. This isn’t actually what armor he’s currently wearing in game (I tend to run a bit tanky so he’s wearing plate) but this was a more sparse outfit to show off his physique and tattoos. Besides, I suck at designing outfits and armor in general. That’s Luna’s specialty. But the weaponry is accurate - crysteel long blades and dual laser pistols. He’s a walking arsenal, and with ten limbs, why wouldn’t he be? It’s always entertaining to fight on the overworld, hovering over my enemies and systematically reducing them to ash piles with my pistols. Jahiin doesn’t enjoy murder (he’d rather hurry up and get into the business of creating lots of life, thanks) but there’s a lot of hostility to be encountered and he does know how to defend himself… and in the world of Qud, that’s a requirement.

Who knows? I might do something else with him. What would people want to see him doing?
