Lottie Gruff is the town’s local mailwoman, and when she’s not doing that she is the personal assistant to her father Lucas from whom she inherited her quiet demeanor and poor eyesight. Unlike her father Lottie is very headstrong, takes on a “cause no harm but take no disrespect” attitude, and can be blunt to the point that others would think her rude or a stick in the mud. She never means to upset anyone, she’s just not particularly good at expressing her feelings. Particularly the positive ones. In her free time she enjoys quieter activities and has no interest in going out to social events or meeting men, claiming that: “I just don’t have the time for that” whenever she is asked about it.

Since the mysterious disappearance of her mother Elise Gruff a couple of months back, Lottie has stopped trimming her beard, an act which garnered harsh criticism in the past from her mom. Despite that and the fact that growing up she was much closer to her father, Lottie still deeply misses her mother and is spending nearly all her time not spent at work with Lucas trying to find a way to get her back.
